After getting over the shock of seeing Mr Donald Trump win the US Presidential elections last November, I did not bother to see him being sworn in about a week ago. After all we are all stack with seeing his face on our screens for at least the next 4 yrs......
To judge by the several documents he has signed during his first week in office, it looks like we are in for a high jump, waking up everyday to one or another suprise! Already one member of his White House staff has added to the vocabulary of Orwellian Doublespeak: ALTERNATIVE FACT (=LIE).
So I guess we shall soon be talking of "alternative girl" (=boy), "alternative wife" (=husband),etc.
And while we are about it, since the dude seems to like Putin and his Russia so much, why not call the USA Alternative Russia?!
True, Mr Trump seems to be very popular in the Kremlin just now, but I don´t think it has to do with an admiration of his business acumen and the slyness with which he has dodged paying some taxes for several years. I suspect the guys in the Kremlin rather see him as a naive clown, ignorant in International Politics and International Relations, and yet unwilling to take a few lessons in the same, since he thinks he knows it all! Why would´t the Kremlin rejoice at having such a dude in the White House?
My worry is, the day it last dawns onMr Trump the real reason for his "popularity" in the Kremlin, it is anyone´s guess how he will react. I only hope he won´t push us to a situation akin to(or worse than!) the Cuban Missile Crisis of the early 1960s!!!
