{UAH} Cayetano: Undocumented OFWs in US will be given assistance

Robert Atuahirew/Lt.Col.Tony Owana,

Does your rogue regime have any plans for Ugandan Overseas workers who might be deported  back home by Donald Trump's new Immigration crack-down? You can read below the response in the Philippines, which has many undocumented workers in the USA. Does your regime keep a tab on the number of its citizens (documented or undocumented ) who work abroad and may therefore need its assistance in difficult times like this that immigrants are facing in the USA?

Cayetano: Undocumented OFWs in US will be given assistance

By Philippine News Agency

Undocumented overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in the US will be given assistance by the Philippine government despite a declaration by President Rodrigo R. Duterte that he "will not lift a finger" on the new immigration policies by the Trump administration, Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano said.

Cayetano made the clarification following criticism made by OFW groups against Duterte for saying that he would not help undocumented OFWs if they get caught or deported as a result of the new policies.

He said the context of Duterte's remark was merely to affirm the Philippine government's non-interference in domestic affairs of the US government.

"Ayaw lang ng Pangulo na diktahan ang Amerika kung ano ang immigration policy nito, dahil ayaw din nating diktahan tayo (The President does not want to dictate America on its immigration policy, because we don't want to be dictated either). But it doesn't mean the President doesn't care," he stressed.

The senator also assured OFWs that the administration is currently holding dialogues with US counterparts to ensure due process for the undocumented nationals.
