{UAH} Demographic Tragedy Looms in Japan

-- Please listen to this documentary on Japan which was broadcast early morning today, and the ones previous to it, which is on the same subject. Japan, it seems is facing a real human tragedy and demographic disaster. The model of growth they have chosen is almost single handedly destroying the existence of Japan as a race and as a people. It is really shocking- SEX has almost disappeared in the lives of many young Japanese people. the paradox is that the country remains very conservative in family matters, yet so advanced in its industrial and work culture that it is virtually impossible for many young people to marry or even to have a relationship. The shocking development is that of many young people, particularly girls, having "virtual lovers". ie gadgets or digital toys that they take on as lovers and treat as lovers. The girls are so liberated that they simply cant find a suitable husband or partner, and boys stay at home with their parents until in their 30s or 40s by which time, they have almost no social skills that can enable them to get or attract partners. It is unbelievably shhocking because they reckon by 2150, the over 60's will be the majority population in Japan, wheres in Uganda, it is the under 15s who will be the majority population.
Is this the consequence of unregulated capitalist development- Karl Marx predicted this- how capitalism will tear asunder everything thing known and hallowed to mankind in its forward march to world domination. In this, probably the most powerful statement ever written by Marx, here is what he predicted in 1848:
"The bourgeoisie, wherever it has got the upper hand, has put an end to all feudal, patriarchal, idyllic relations. It has pitilessly torn asunder the motley feudal ties that bound man to his 'natural superiors,' and has left remaining no other nexus between man and man than naked self-interest, callous 'cash payment.' It has drowned the most heavenly ecstasies of religious fervor, of chivalrous enthusiasm, of philistine sentimentalism, in the icy water of egotistical calculation. It has resolved personal worth into exchange value, and in place of the numberless indefeasible chartered freedoms, has set up that single, unconscionable freedom—Free Trade. In one word, for exploitation, veiled by religious and political illusions, it has substituted naked, shameless, direct, brutal exploitation.
The bourgeoisie has stripped of its halo every occupation hitherto honored and looked up to with reverent awe. It has converted the physician, the lawyer, the priest, the poet, the man of science, into its paid wage laborers.
The bourgeoisie has torn away from the family its sentimental veil, and has reduced the family relation to a mere money relation."
― Karl Marx, The Communist Manifesto
