{UAH} Do Ugandan Children Have Any Hope Left?

Ikanos,

Last Saturday, I addressed an International  Human Rights Conference On the Rights of the Child held in Glasgow, here in the UK. My address covered the suffering of Ugandan children under 30 years of unremitting brutality and barbarity- it was a rehashed version of a speech I gave before the General Council of Amnesty International in 1989 at the height of the genocide and Kayibanda Museveni's campaign of mass extermination in northern Uganda which brought many delegates into tears- this time also many people shed tears when I described to them the conditions under which our children, for  nearly two generations now, have been  totally deprived of anything remotely resembling childhood and yet still have abundant hope- in fact I told the delegates that HOPE is all that Ugandan children have as everything else has been taken away from them, stolen,  purloined or snatched by a brutal Rwandan occupation. I told the delegates that Uganda is a country that God forgot, because how could he allow a brutal tyrant to inflict such suffering and inhuman oppression on his own children for so long without recalling him or at least  lifting a finger. I am a very powerful public speaker and I constantly move people into tears when I am really inspired or very angry and emotional.

But then just spontaneously, as I was about to end my speech,  some person in the audience put on this song here below, I had never heard it before, and it just blew my mind away. I am not a religious person, but its infectious message of Hope brought everyone to their feet in dance. I have never experienced anything like this in my life.

Bobby.
