Justice Silvia Fernandez de Gurmendi  the president of the International Criminal Court (ICC) is set for a historic visit to Joseph Kony's rebellion affected Northern Uganda region to have first-hand experience of the activities of the victims affected by the two-decade war for two weeks

According to a statement released by the office of the ICC filed outreach, justice Gurmendi's  is arriving the country today (Thursday) at the invitation of the Trust Fund for Victims (TFV).

Information from the Assistant outreach filed coordinator of ICC Mr Jimmy Otim, show that the ICC president is expected to visit Lukodi village in Bungatira Sub County, Gulu District, where its alleged that in 2004 under command of Domini Ongwen 54 locals were massacred

Currently Dominic Ongwen is Netherlands at an ICC detention center  facing 70 counts of charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity allegedly committed during the insurgency in northern Uganda.

About two months ago the Registrar of the same court; Mr Herman Von Hebel also visited Northern Uganda and went to Lukodi massacre site in Gulu where  LRA rebels killed dozens of people in an internally displaced camp.

Trust Fund for Victims Directors board chairman Mr Motoo Noguchi and board members will the Ugandan delegation on Silvia Fernandez de Gurmendi tour.
