{UAH} MPs "banned" from traveling abroad

Folks;

This "ban" or restriction of MPs' movement outside of Kampala, speaks volume about the quality of representation that we have in Parliament, and how the same Parliament treats the regional Assembly.

Why should an MP be compelled to cast a vote in Parliament? If an MP does not consider the EALA an important body worth his or her considered vote, then what's the value of EALA to Uganda?

And why should the Speaker resort to detaining the MPs in order to extract their votes? It still bothers me that our MPs do not appreciate their role in formulating national policy and stewarding international relations.
