{UAH} NRM Electoral System Is A Fraud — Banyenzaki

Former Rubanda County West Member of Parliament, Henry Banyenzaki said that the NRM electoral system is a fraud and mismanaged.

"The Electoral system that is going on is a fraud, it is stage-managed and I cannot subject myself to this kind of stuff," said Banyenzaki after withdrawing from the race.

"I am a clean man from the beginning to the end it is what it is and I think when Hon Odombo withdrew his candidature I almost thought of withdrawing."

Banyenzaki also revealed that he is a clean man who has been speaking his mind.

"I have always been available to say my mind it's only when I was in cabinet when I had that collective responsibility that I could not speak my mind. I man now a free man and there is nothing that stops me from saying my mind and now that's what I think, this is my mind. The whole electoral system is a fraud and it has been for some time. Let the organs of this party clean the system."

This website understands that NRM finally elected six candidates for the East African Legislative Assembly yesterday.

Musamali Paul emerged top with 167 votes, former Internal Affairs Minister Rose Akol garnered 139, George Odongo and Kasamba Mathias tied at 119. Two time MP and minister Mary Mugyenyi got 115 while former NRM youth chairman Dennis Namara garnered 114 votes.
