Pr Kayanja demands 30bn offertory from Museveni as Kakande sells rice at 50,000 per Kg
Pastor Kayanja of t Miracle Centre, Rubaga Miracle center has demanded 30bn shillings offertory from Museveni as a head of state. Pastor Kayanja said that the amount equivalent to 10% of Uganda's budget should be given to him as a man of God so he appeases God and bless Uganda.
This mesmerizing demand was made during the famous 77 Days of Glory and Salvation (77 DOGS) an overnight service at Miracle Centre, Rubaga which the president attended. Kataaha and Museveni are the de facto leaders of the "Uganda modern Balokole" churches
This has come at a time Balokole pastors are making their desperate followers do weird things and outrageously extort finances from them in return for brokering between them and God.
According to Kayanja, Uganda to stop relying on foreign aid and be self-sustaining Museveni should give him 10% of the national budget as tithe. "If 10% of the nation budget is given to God, the remaining 90% will do much more." Kayanja said. Uganda's last financial year's budget 2016/2017 was estimated at shs 26.3 trillion.
Museveni didn't reply to the weird demand but said to the congregation, "Religious leaders should teach people to believe in science and reject superstition and witchcraft" He further requested church leaders and Christians to join in the fight against environment degradation. "People of faith" He said, "leave wetlands alone so that they are restored"
Lweera a popular wetland stretch in Masaka is under destruction by a senior pastor who extracts and exports sand!
Just days before, another Pastor Kakande of the synagogue church launched tons of rice in his church and "baptized" it "holy rice". He convinced his fraught followers to each buy as many kilos as possible in order to receive "God's blessings" therein once. Each Kilo was sold at 50,000 shillings. In Uganda, best quality imported rice costs a maximum of 10,000\- and a kilo of locally grown rice cost 2800\ –3800\
These acts by the so called men of God show absurdities in the Pentecostal churches where Pastors fleece poor desperate Ugandans in the "name" of God.
Uganda police routinely charges laymen and traditional healers a case called "receipt of money by false pretense"
