These 4 behaviours cut cancer risk by 30%:
1. Don't smoke or stop immediately without excuses if you do
2. Don't drink alcohol or drink less than 3 drinks at a sitting
3. Keep your weight in check: BMI should always be between 18.5 and 28
4. Ensure you have sufficient physical activity: i.e. at least 150 minutes of moderate activity (i.e. 30minutes per day for atleast 5 days) or 75 minutes of rigorous activities a week (i.e. 15 minutes per day for atleast 5 days)
Remember:
1. Number 3 is tightly linked to DIET: A diet LOW in refined sugar/ sugary concentrates, processed carbs and 'bad' fats and HIGH in veges/minerals and semi-processed carbs, balanced with protein.
2. This DOES NOT in any way eliminate cancer risk but cuts the risk by 30% (aka the 'attributable risk proportion'); there are many other causative factors, most of which we have no control of - the vast majority of cancers are random events resulting from random mutations that we have no control of - BUT THIS DOES NOT STOP US FROM DEALING WITH THE 30% THAT WE CAN FIX]
