{UAH} INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY WAS BORING!
Friends
International Women's Day is a celebration of all that women have accomplished and a celebration of the countless women who have marched, protested, and done what they needed to do but I found Women's day yesterday as dull as dishwater. Not that I don't respect women or intend to diminish its importance, but there was nothing like a blockbuster to get our adrenaline and testosterone levels up. Most of the messages posted yesterday were anything but boring, not even Stella Nyanzi sparked the day. It was all mainly my mother this, my mother that,as if it was Mother's day. Our Journalists spent the day posting articles about the strong women in Uganda, and the list was dominated by current female politicians in Uganda, of which most of them have been cited in several corruption scandals. I don't see how that can be celebrated, honestly.
To be clear, I don't think the day is getting us anywhere at the moment. Once again, it looks like the females are gonna need males to give them better ideas on how to celebrate this day for everybody!--
