{UAH} French presidential election : all is going on very well !
The real day for round one of the French presidential election
has begun and is marching on very satisfactorily. By noon a good
and encouraging 28.54% of the total 46 million voters had already
cast their vote. All contending 11 candidates have already voted.
And they have now retired to their homes from where they will proceed
to go to their various headquarters to wait for the results which will
be announced
at 8 pm sharp on all TV channels, etc..
Polling is going on very peacefully and thousands of security
personnel are busy on
duty doing the monitoring and security checks... News from overseas
are also pointing
to great queues of French voters ready to cast their vote at their
French Mission or Embassy.
TV has reported enormous queues lining up in London. It was the same
case yesterday
in Washington and in all French overseas departments who also voted
yesterday in order to
avoid any inconvenience created by time shifts and their votes will be
counted at the end of
polling in Metropolitan France.
Candidate Emmanuel Macron has been cheered and applauded as he got out
of the polling
booth. Hundreds of supporters and journalists were already at hand for
him. And at his Paris
headquarters a thousand journalists from all over the world have
received entry passes to the
hall where he will give his impressions on the result of the first
round before assembled thousands of supporters and TV cameras. The
National Front right extremist Marine Le Pen
is expected to receive 600 foreign journalists for the same occasion.
Her campaign is said to
have been very well followed abroad.
The world is now eager to see who will be the two candidates to
qualify for the second and
final round scheduled exactly two weeks from now.
