{UAH} Kimmel Blasts Jared Kushner Iraq Visit: ‘Dennis Rodman Has More Foreign Policy Experience
- JON LEVINE APR 4, 2017 6:28 AM
During his monologue last night, late night host Jimmy Kimmel took aim at Jared Kushner and the recent news that he was traveling in Iraq with Joint Chiefs Chairman, Gen. Joseph Dunford. Kimmel didn't mince words expressing his disbelief.
"Jared Kushner is a real estate developer. He's 36 years old, he has no experience dealing with foreign governments," said Kimmel. "This is a guy who negotiates rent. His job is to figure out how much it will cost to put a Dunkin' Donuts on the first floor of an office building. Dennis Rodman has more foreign policy experience than Jared Kushner."
Rodman — for those wondering — raised his international profile considerably after his infamous trip to North Korea and visit with dictator Kim Jong Un.
Kimmel then speculated that perhaps Donald Trump held some secret animosity towards his son-in-law and was "trying to kill him."
With his rising profile, Kushner has increasingly become a target of late night comedians. In addition to whatever he is up to in Iraq, Kushner is also leading the newly created White House Office of American Innovation and in his spare time will also be helping efforts to achieve Middle East peace.
