{UAH} MAYEGA'S ACHIEVEMENTS IN HIS FIRST TERM

In a few weeks, Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga will mark 4 years since his appointment.... Today, lemme post just 14 of his major achievements since May 12, 2013. In no particular order…. Here we go.......
1. Building of a perimeter wall on 64 acres of Kasubi Royal Tombs, renovation of caretaker houses, solar installation and piped water at Kasubi. The main house at Kasubi (Muzibu Azaala Mpanga) is set to be finalized this year. Over 10 houses of caretakers…. They even have simple things like flush toilets. A 200,000 litre tank is already in place
2. Masengere – finalized the building of Masengere which stalled for nearly four decades
3. Started BBS Terefayina thereby enabling Kabaka's people to get information that is reliable
4. Reinvented the Kabaka Birthday Run with proceeds going to fistula and sickle cell treatment. Over 30,000 people took part this year…. Almost bigger than then Hamburg Marathon
5. Professionalized operations at Bulange and in all counties – all organs working together. Buganda is now more like a blue chip company
6. Created partnerships with major companies like Uganda Breweries Ltd who make Ngule and Airtel , Post Bank among others. I hear a major company is about to sign a mother of all partnerships
7. The Masaza Football Cup is now one of the biggest footballing events in Uganda. Shiela Nduhukire take note
8. There is much more unity as exhibited by Ettoffaali and huge turn up at Buganda Kingdom events. People are now closer to Ssaabasajja Kabaka and Ssaabasajja Kabaka is closer to his people than ever… his glowing face tells it all…. I hear he told some top diplomat who asked him whether all was well and his response…. "I have the best Prime Minister ever…."
9. Lubiri High School Buloba Campus got a new modern building that will enable it offer decent education to Kabaka's people. Basically Kabaka Mutebi's 62 birthday gift
10. Housing: Mirembe Villas in Kigo is under construction enabling people to live in organized communities. New housing estates in Mayembe ga Mbogo (Mpigi) and Ssentema (Wakiso) planned
11. Facilitated MoU with government enabling the Kingdom to get back some of its properties including county headquarters
12. There is less agitation and fighting with the central government which has enabled the Kingdom to push it's agenda with less interruption
13. Kabaka is now free to travel to any part of his Kingdom without anybody putting blockades in his way
14. And now Kabaka's people instead of moving around with chits of paper that indicate that they own some land, they are getting real certificates of titles with minimum 49 year leases.
