The two Voyager spacecraft were dispatched into outer space by NASA in 1977. Right now nobody knows where they are after leaving our solar system and it will take at least 39, 960 years to reach any planetary system to deliver their message to any intelligent being.
Messages about the world were burnt onto a gold=plated disk with music and some images. President Carter and UN Sec Gen, Waldheim spoke into the disk.
