{UAH} BY THE WAY DID MUSEVENI LIE TO BAGANDA TO GET INTO POWER? ->Just asking
Did Museveni lie to the Baganda to get into power?

The iconic backing of Mr. Museveni’s 1981 – 1986 guerrilla war by the Kabaka (King) of Buganda. His Royal Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, was premised on the agreement that all Buganda Kingdom issues would immediately be resolved after capturing power. But after the restoration of the Kingdom on July 31, 1993, too much has gone amiss. Mr Museveni has betrayed the Buganda Kingdom, breached all the agreements and refused to address the Federal demands of the Kingdom, in spite of the overwhelming support for it in the constitutional making process of Justice Benjamin Odoki’s commission.
Mr Museveni has always claimed to have brought back the Kabaka from exile in the United Kingdom but it is under his regime that we have seen the Baganda king cry in public. Museveni’s 31 years in power have been years of too much suffering, dictatorship and frustrations on the part of Ugandans, mainly the Baganda. The famous Kasubi Royal Tombs, official burial place of the Buganda kings was burnt down and mourners shot dead and a new law that seems to have been aimed against the Buganda Kingdom was enacted. Unknown chiefdoms have been created within Buganda Kingdom, well-planned poverty and other upheavals are eating up the Kingdom and in addition, the Buganda Kingdom Land has been grabbed. Surprisingly, the regime is using Mr Mabiriizi to discredit and demonize our beloved Kabaka through the ongoing false prosecutions in the High Court of Uganda over Kabaka’s land. How can a reasonable Judge direct our Kabaka to share his Bank Accounts transaction details with Mr Mabiriizi? This shows manifest bias, intolerance, and a desire to destroy our beloved Kabaka.
This is grossly unfair. The court order was done in bad faith, very outrageous, unacceptable, and bad in law. It was a vexatious and travesty of justice! If Mr Mabiriizi and the regime are left uncorrected, they will leave indelible stains on the reputation of our Kabaka which gives rise to a grave miscarriage of justice! Mr Museveni always says he went to the bush in 1981- 1986 to fight extra-judicial killings, election rigging, dictatorship, lawlessness, nepotism, corruption and sectarianism in Uganda. But all these vices are prevalent under his regime! Leaders should not build on a foundation of lies, perversions, and denial of the truth.
The Buganda king weeps after arsonists burnt down his ancestor’s burial place, the Kasubi Royal Tombs.
On Thursday September 9th through Saturday September 11, 2009, Mr Museveni ordered the Kabaka’s convoy to be blocked from visiting his subjects in Kayunga District which is part of Buganda Kingdom. Government troops indiscriminately shot and killed hundreds of innocent people on the streets all over the Kingdom who were protesting Mr. Museveni’s move to block their Kabaka from visiting his people in Kayunga District in Bugerere County. On May 24, 1966, when Uganda’s first premier Dr Apollo Milton Obote attacked the first President of Uganda Kabaka Edward Muteesa II, vandalized his palace, forcefully removed him from the presidency, killed hundreds of innocent people in King Mutesa’s palace and abrogated the Uganda Constitution, all his efforts to unite Uganda by force was futile and Uganda ceased to exist literary.
In 1981 many prominent Baganda, including my biological father, had totally refused to support Mr Museveni’s guerrilla war until when our beloved Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II directed all his people to support Mr Museveni and his NRA fighters. In 1983 and 1984, I saw our King Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II clad in military attire with a gun in the battle fields together with Mr. Museveni. On January 7, 1985, when Mr Museveni’s NRA rebellion was failing, he brought Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II from United Kingdom (UK) through Rwanda to the battle grounds, handed him an AK47 riffle and addressed the rebel fighters which morale-boosted the guerrilla war because most of the NRA fighters were Baganda during the bush war. During that surprise visit, both Museveni and the Kabaka were clad in military attire. If it wasn’t for our beloved Kabaka His Royal Majesty Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, Mr Yoweri Kaguta Museveni wouldn’t have become president of The Republic of Uganda even for a single day. Fellow Ugandans, life is not about how to survive the storm but how to dance in the rain.
