Police Boss in Fatal Accident, 2 Dead
The official car of the Regional Police Commander of greater Bushenyi, Senior Superintendent of Police Eddie Sserunjogi crashed on Tuesday morning, killing two people and injured 7 others including the police officer and his wife.
According to eyewitnesses the vehicle registration number UP 4812 knocked a road sign and overturned several times in Lolim along Karuma-Pakwach highway.
The accident took the lives of Nanyonjo Harriet 38 years old and Mawanda Sentamu 30 all R/Os of Mbuya.
The injured included the RPC SSP SSeronjoji himself, his wife Asero Claire 29 years old, driver SPC Tumusiime, Chandiro Joyce, Sentamu Seraji, Kawoya Musa Ojok and Ssali Pius.
These were immediately rushed to Pakwach Health centre IV for medical attention while the bodies were taken to Anaka Hospital in Nwoya district.
The totally destroyed vehicle was still at the scene by Tuesday evening.
