{UAH} Museveni and the Muslim community in Uganda.
Gwokto,
-- Afuwa kasule and Edward Irundrua are vile revisionists who still insist on blaming Major Rurangaranga and the UPC for the massacre of muslims during the 1979 liberation war,. This theory has been debunked again and again and I dont really understand Afuwa's motives of posting bogus articles that shift the blame for the massacres away from the real perpetrator.
It is a waste of my time to constantly have to refute Afuwa's lies, such as the ONES SHE POSTED a few months ago in which she tried to defend Islamic terrorism, including even going to extent of claiming that the London Bridge Terrorist Attack of April was a "hoax".or that the Grenfell Tower Inferno was carried out by the UK government, the CIA and Jews to kill muslims.
I dont know what Afuwa seeks to gain by propagating lies. Ruarangaranga never fought on the western front that passed through Mbarara and Bushenyi. He commanded the front that passed through Masaka, and is infact the one who rescued the muslims in Ankole when he was deployed there as head of a KM and TPFF unit to end the atrocities that Museveni/Fronasa were inflicting on the local muslim population.
Beginning with this artilce from an Islamic Centre., I will again start to refute Afuwa kasule's lies. I dont want the memory of a great man such as Major Rurangaranga, who contributed so much to the removal of the brutal Amin tryanny, to be traduced by vindictive or evil people who would rather kiss the arse of a brutal monster . What does Afuwa gain by shifting the reponsibility for the massacre of the Muslims to Rurangaranga and away from the real perpetrator, Rwandan outlaw Kayibanda Museveni?
Just to pick one of Afuwa's vile calumnies agianst Major Rurangaranga: She is outraged by this the speech Rurangaranga made to a gathering in Bushenyi where he reportedly said:
"The bloodbath was fuelled by people like Edward Rurangaranga who addressed meetings in the area, in which he would make it clear that the people he was addressing were in two categories: Amin's men and rest. The old Sheikh Abdulmanaf quotes Rurangaranga as saying to the non-Muslim members at the gathering thus, "We have finished the stem (Amin); the branches (Muslims) are yours."
What was wrong with this speech? Rurangaranga was making it clear that he could not himself as the leader of KM arrest or apprehend the Amin criminals who were embedded within the Ankole muslim community. It was the muslims themselves and the banyankole who had to deal with the SRB agents and their infrastructure, who were well known in the local community. In every single village in Uganda, everybody knew who the agents of the SRB and of Idi Amin were. In my own village, all these agents who had not fled were killed within hours of the fall of Kampala. The fact that they were muslims was totally immaterial. What was material was that they were well-known collaborators of the fascist regime, the so-called "Amin's men" as they were known. These killers never hid their identities or their crimes. They killed in day light. Every body knew them. So did Afuwa expect Rurangaranga to deal with these locally based criminals? Would he not leave it to the local community to arrest the killers and hand them over to the lawful authority, which at that time, was then the liberation forces that were chasing the retreating fascist army?
Secondly, muslims had terrorised the Chrsitian community in Ankole for years. Afuwa can not deny this fact. Just like in any other village in Uganda, nearly every killer that Idi Amin employed was a muslim. This is a fact we can not run away from. The task for the liberation forces was to prevent revenge attacks. This was a very difficult task, because the crimes committed by muslims in some areas were still very fresh in the hearts and the minds of the victims and it was inevitable that revenge attacks would take place. There was no functioning police or law and order for almost 6 months after Amin was defeated, and moreover the task of the liberation forces was the total defeat of the fascist, and and not maintaining law and order.
It seems really very stupid for Afuwa to blame Rurangarangs for the atrocties committed by local banyankole in revenge attacks. Those crimes were inexucsable, but the bulk of the killings wwas carried out by the Fronasa forces commanded by the Rwandan outlaw Kayibanda \Museveni. And a large bulk of Fronasa were themselves Rwandan citizens and not Ugandans. Rurangranga only commanded Ugandan citizens, patriots who for had volunteered to sacrifice their lives o that our country can be free. It is very stupid to spread lies about a great man, Major Rurangaranga, whose contribution to the removal of the Amin regime will always be remembered by all those who love their country
