Governor General Announces the State Visit to Canada of 
King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan 

OTTAWA—His Excellency the Right Honourable David Johnston, Governor General of Canada, is delighted to announce the State visit to Canada of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, from August 27^th to 29^th, 2017. 

“It is a great honour to once again welcome His Majesty King Abdullah II to Canada,” said the Governor General. “I had the distinguished pleasure of greeting His Majesty to Canada during his State visit in 2015, as well as meeting him again during my State visit to Jordan in 2016. This State visit to Canada will provide us with an excellent opportunity to pursue our conversations on Canada and Jordan’s strong co-operation and important relationship.” 

The detailed schedule of the events taking place at Rideau Hall will be issued at a later date.
