Ugandan nanny who tortured a toddler released 25 AUG 2017 11:20 PM Jolly Tumuhiirwe, 25, is the childminder who shocked the world when she tortured a one-year-old to near death, she was on Friday morning released a year earlier than her intended sentence. It's said that during her stay in prison, Jolly was remorseful and her statements indicate she is a reformed person who will not repeat the act. She also gained some vocational skills which the prison authorities strongly believe will help her to survive. The video of Jolly torturing baby Arnella went viral hitting 21million views in under 72 hours. The footage was captured using a hidden cam that could be accessed from anywhere using a smart phone. When the child's father, Eric Kamanzi saw what was happening to his little daughter, he drove through traffic like a mad man to come to the rescue of his daughter. The video was shared on Facebook and the world overreacted over the ruthless acts that this nanny had subjected the innocent girl to. The incident happened on November 2014. In the video, the maid was trying to feed the baby who seemed not to like the food, she threw up and this is what triggered the maid's anger, she turned to the little girl by stepping on her back and heavy kicks. At some point, the girl behaved like she had lost it, but this was not enough to make the maid stop the torture, she continued. Many were left in tears over that act. This morning at 6:45am, she was set free and tinted Hiace super custom was, on standby to whisk her away.
