{UAH} WRITE A WILL BEFORE YOU DIE!

Africans don't write wills unless Old age sets in but If you have any property that's worth any monetary value, and you have some legal dependents to whom you owe a livelihood till they grow to be legally independent, then you need to have a Will. These scandals that have become the trademark for when rich Ugandan men die are extremely distasteful and pathetic. This whole hullabaloo about relatives from the man's side thinking that they own a deceased's assets is a stupid mentality, highly prevalent here in Africa. Especially when the father-in-law, becomes embroiled in physical fights for assets well before his son is buried. When a man works, he doesn't work for the clan, he works for himself and his legal dependents - Even M7 said! If someone really loves your children, they can volunteer to look after them EVEN WITHOUT SEEKING MONEY FROM YOUR ESTATE. If the first thing they rush for is to own the estate, followed by demands 'to take over the care of the children as their tool to gain control of the assets', this is a tell tale sign that they are not interested in working in the best interest of the children. Some of them do not even understand an inch of the lifestyle that you have tuned your children to live.

Your only obligation is to the people who LEGALLY depend on you at the time of death - they are minors. The rest is bullshit. You have no obligation to pay back people because they looked after you - that was their legal obligation.

Mulwana had more resources than others and when he passed on, the estate quietly continues functioning. A will is a must in this life, recently i was at the uganda book shop and i came across a very good booklet of a will, Go PURCHASE IT. Many fear to make a will as an act of anticipation for death and yet God our Maker cut short our stay here on his Earth. Before folks like Adam lived for 900 years but as punishment we are not here for more than 120 years and incase you are lucky to bypass that mark you are almost lifeless or useless with dat to day activities.

Regarding Family i have made one observation. .For we are sisters and brothers in that family when we are young but when each sibling gets a spouse things change. Everybody continues to move in a straight line on their own unless compelled by an external force like death of family member so that they come and meet as a family...or when one of their siblings dies the displacement changes to the beleaved family in the name of helping out but really its about financial gain. In life people fail to come to the life dynamics that the family in which you were born had its purpose of nurturing you in life and once that role is done then the new family you start is your real one till death...Of course we shouldnt forget our parents and siblings but this life is not fair..
