{UAH} JULIUS OKETTA MEMORIAL

As colleagues, friends and family yesterday comemmorated the one year anniversary since the untimely passing of Major Gen. Julius Oketta, many recounted his discipline, heroïsm, humility and sacrifice for his country. I noticed that while others would like to claim that "Amin hated Acholi's", they then do everything to hide the fact that Oketta was also a serving officer in the Uganda Armed Forces under President Idi Amin until the very end of the 1979 war. His last posting was in Fortportal, Western Uganda, and we actually know him as Lieutenant Feki.

May His Soul Rest In Eternal Peace.
