{UAH} Former World Best Footballer,George Weah Wins Liberia’s Presidential Election

Former AC Milan and Monaco player,George Weah has been declared the winner of the Liberian presidential election which was conducted on 26th December,beating his 73-year-old opponent and Vice President Joseph Boakai to become the 25th president of the west African nation.

George Weah will be replacing Ellen Johnson Sirleaf,who is the first female African president,as the next president of Liberia and will be sworn in by next year.

Weah who is the only African footballer that have worn the prestigious FIFA world player of the year,when he was at Italian club AC Milan,contested previously against the current president of Liberia,Ellen Johnson Sirleaf and lost,but that didn't hold him back as he continued to show his interest in being the president of Liberia.

According to reports,he won the election by a landslide victory against his aging opponent.
