OPINION:
SEVEN YEARS TERM IN OFFICE NOT ACCEPTED.
The proposal to extend the 5 years term to 7 years of MPs and the President is an abuse of our constitution and will not be accepted.
The MPs signed the contract with voters to serve for 5 years and any attempt to extend it must go back to the voters for the final say.
Some MPs have served many terms without making any impact and extending it to 7 years will not yield any tangible result.
Those advocating for 7 years are mere greedy, self seekers hungry MP's and Ugandans should not allow this to happen because they are fresh young and energetic to serve Ugandans.
