Donald Trump Critizes U.S. Online Gambling Laws: Declares Investment Into Canadian Casino Industry

(CNN)After being in the White House for over a year, President Donald Trump has admitted that on numerous occassions he has attempted to pass a bill that will allow online gambling in the United States. Thus far, the bill has never made it to the Senate which President Trump believes is "criminal" and a massive loss to all Americans. Online gambling has always been illegal in the United States but many other countries have benefited from the industry in the form of tax revenues from the casinos themselves, and in increased consumer spending due to the unprecedented payouts that players are receiving. After seeing these markets emerge and learning from his own hotel and casino mistakes in the past, Trump has declared he will place a sizeable investment into Canada's thriving online gamling industry.

He held a press conference this morning saying "while it is unfair I cannot bring this to the American people, Canadians all over their great nation will benefit from this revolutionary market. I am an entrepreneur at heart and have built an empire around sound decision making. This is just too good an opportunity to pass up. My past mistakes in the hotel and casino industries will allow me to build on an already thriving business. Our goal, and my hope is that this investment will further strengthen Canadian and US relations."

Online casinos have for years operated in Canada in a gray area, allowing scammers to dupe Canadians out of thousands of dollars. Donald Trump has promised Canadians that his Casino is secure and licensed at the federal level.

After the President of the United States made the announcement, the Canadian Minister of Finance, Bill Morneau held a press conference himself backing Trump and stating that effective immediately, Grand Mondial Casino would be the largest online casino supported by the federal government, and more will be added after research and examination has been completed.

When asked why Grand Mondial was the best option, Morneau replied "we have taken a very good look at their management, structure, and payout history, and determined it to be the most legitimate one, out of the 30 or so currently active. We are confident that with Mr. Trump's hands-on management style, the casino will thrive. Payouts that players receive will not be taxed, the casino will be taxed, not the players."
