The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) party women's league has vowed to forcefully attend national women's day celebrations in demand for justice on behalf of the families of Entebbe murder victims.
Speaking at the party's headquarters in Najjanankumbi on Monday, Women's league spokesperson, Ms Sara Eperu said their move is informed by government's negligence towards women specifically in the recent Entebbe/ Wakiso murders.
"The FDC women's league is going to mobilise the families and friends of the murdered women so that we jointly demand for justice and compensation. As part of our women's day celebrations, we are going to visit their families to condole with them and empower them to demand justice," Ms Eperu said.
Ms Eperu also added that they will move with the families to the women's day celebrations venue to launch their demand for justice.
"We will be clad in our blue FDC t-shirts and see if the police will undress us. They should prepare of us. We will be there too, as FDC and demand justice with these families," she added.
Last year, over 20 women were brutally murdered in Entebbe and Wakiso areas in just four months.
The killings which were done in almost similar fashion included; attacking young women in the middle of the night, sexually assaulting them, strangling them to death before inserting sticks in their private parts.
However, it was not until end of year that the police came close to a breakthrough in identifying the people behind these murders.

The FDC women now say they are irked by Police's action towards solving the murders, they claim that Police officials giving public reports have variously shifted the blame onto the brutally murdered women by profiling them as promiscuous sex workers, or irresponsible mentally ill persons or loose women separated from their husbands.
"To this end, we want to see a conclusive investigations and action by government, law enforcers and security organs," Eperu adds.
Among those that attended the press briefing was government critic, Dr. Stella Nyanzi.
