{UAH} Ocen// Kenya's AG Githu Muigai is a Luhya?
Folks;
Kenyans are inflicted with an incurable disease called tribalism.
A day after Prof. Githu Muigai resigned, or was forced out, as Kenya's Attorney-General, news has come out, saying he's actually not a Kikuyu afterall, but a Luhya.
His father was the late trade unionist, Clemente Lubembe, a founding member of the Central Organization of Trade Unions, COTU.
Lubembe was also a Member of Parliament for Lurambi, in Kakamega.
After Tom Mobya left COTU where he was secretary-general, to become a minister in Kenya's post-independence government, Lubembe replaced him.
Prof. Muigai was the product of the union between Lubembe and a Kikuyu woman.
The news goes on to say that when Lubembe passed on, in 1997, Prof. Muigai and his brothers from another mother, played a leading role in the funeral arrangement.
Additionally, it's reported that due to his patriarchal background, the good prof was not accepted in the inner circles of Kikuyu power brokers; he was just recently admitted to the Karen and Muthaiga Golf Clubs.
Imagine the pain of being a citizen of a country that would not sleep until it finds out everything about your tribal veins.
