{UAH} Was Apollo Milton Obote a student of St Aloysius College Nyapea?
Is there anyone on UAH with information, whether the former president, Apollo Milton Obote was a student of St Aloysius College Nyapea (Zombo)? Unverified information indicates that in around 1938, the former St. Louis College in Gulu, founded by Brothers of the Sacred Heart (An American Missionary Congregation), was reloacted to Nyapea (formerly Nebbi district), and effectively renamed St. Aloysius College Nyapea.
This same unverified information indicates that; the school was relocated at the heights of the WWII, following a major outbreak of chicken pox in Gulu. It was then around this time, or quite earlier (1928), that Apollo Milton Obote was a student. To date, St. Aloysius College Nyapea considers (probably very erroneosly!) that AMO was their OB.
Thank you in advance for your information/clarification!
