Okello DOKOLO, Gun policy in America, 

Do not forget that, America as a country is founded on genocide against the Maya folks - Natives original Americans, later baptised as Red Indians by the same European Settlers in the North American Continent. This kind of action is similar with what the British criminals did against the Aborigines - Natives original folks of Australia. Today you can see that the original Australian natives continued to be treated as foreigners in their own country in that Asian Continent which was occupied by the British prisoners.

Lastly, how about in the former Apartheid Southern African regions whereby some of you so-called educated Africans want to punish those who fought the Apartheid regime. Example, you want to punish Zuma, Mugabe and others on frivolous crimes meanwhile not wanting to punish the Apartheid operators. Truly, Okello DOKOLO, you may trivialise my concern regarding Mugabe, Zuma etal, but I think you cannot forget the Marikana Mine massacres in August 2012 under your hero Mr Ramaphosa who is the major shareholder and today is South African President.

Clearly, why do you just pour vile political acid on Zuma and others meanwhile forgetting for example Sharpeville massacres, but not asking for the arrests of the likes of FW de Klerk and cahoots? In short, these former Apartheid gurus to you the infamous African intellectuals were innocent, but not Zuma and friends who sacrificed heavily in the fights against the Apartheid regimes in the whole Southern African sub-regions!

Remember when Democrats stood in public and opposed putting guns in schools? Edward Pojim started that same noise in this forum, until when I shut it off by stating that actually guns are already in American schools. I gave examples of names of schools with guns as we speak. Well do you know why the Maryland shooter is no longer in the news, and Edward Pojim has not commented on it? For the school  had a Resource Officer that was armed, as many other schools in Maryland. He took out the fool. As the saying states, a bad guy with a gun is always stopped by a good guy with a gun. No the Edward Pojim' s did not oppose the idea for it was bad they opposed it for it was supported by number 45. The POTUS of the people. Maryland schools were actually armed way before Obama presidency.

 

What is funny is that democrats were in White House for two terms and never pulled them out.

I am connected on an American cable TV called Reality. It specialises on crime and for the last one month, I have been watching each night without fail a recast or documentary of America's serial killers.  

It is truly chilling and shows a violent side of America that is almost impossible to understand. The programme is not just about killing, but is also an attempt to understand why human beings are driven to commit some of the most brutal crimes known to mankind. So it brings together the police detectives who solve the crimes, and the psychologists who try to explain some of the most evil and sadistic actions committed by human beings and in many cases by apparently normal people. We are left to ask: are some human beings born to kill? 

 

I have so far watched :

1. The Zodiac killer- 37 victims

2.  The Hitchhikers Killer Donald Gaskins- 80-90 victims 

3. Ted Bundy- 30 victims 

4. The Angel of Death Charles Cullen-convicted for murder of 40 elderly victims, but believed to have murdered  300.

5. The Milwaukee Cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer- 17 young boys

6. The Burial King John Wayne Gacy-33 murders in Chicago, but believed to have murdered more. He became notorious for confessing to yet another murder just days before his execution for sentences already handed over so as to delay his execution He did this two or three times, until the governor tired and just authorised his execution otherwise he could still be alive, confessing to a murder every two years or so.

 

The one I have just finished watching is that of Rodney Alcala who was convicted of the murder of 5 women, but is believed  to have murdered 138!

 

America truly has a dark side- that's why I don't think the Uk justice system and adherence to the rule of law would really work there. America is essentially violent society which perhaps requires a level of official brutality that would never be tolerated in the European countries.
