Shocking moment car hits woman who slipped and fell while running across a busy road in her high heels

- The woman ran across the busy highway just 164 feet from a pedestrian crossing
This is the shocking moment a woman running across a busy road in high heels slips and is hit by a car.
The startling scene was caught by a security camera in the city of Nogales in the Mexican state of Sonora.
In the video, 22-year-old Minerva F.S. can be seen dashing across three lanes of traffic in a pair of high heels.
She appears to be distracted and speaking on the phone.
The woman passes in front of a pick-up truck and steps out into the third lane of traffic as a car comes driving past.
She then slips, falling onto her backside directly in front of the car which slams into her, dragging her forwards.
The victim is caught under the car's wheel and pulled metres along the tarmac before the vehicle comes to a halt.

The shocked driver reverses the car off the woman and gets out as passers-by stop to help her
Onlookers rush to help the injured woman as the driver, named as Jaime in local media, reverses away from her body.
Minerva was reportedly rushed to a local hospital by the Red Cross where she was treated for fractures to her left knee and elbow, injuries to her right hand and bruising to her body.
She is reportedly in a stable condition.
Local media report that she was crossing the busy road just 164 feet (50 metres) from a pedestrian crossing.
