Awelo Primary school and Awelo Secondary School, located in Amolatar district have been closed indefinitely over witchcraft.
Ogal Ben Bosco, the headteacher of Awelo Primary school said female students from the secondary section were being raped by ghosts.
Nelson Ocabe, the Amolatar district inspector said he is surprised by the closure of the schools. He said recently he went and talked to the students following a report that he received saying the students were turning chaotic. He said he talked to the students to calm them so they could allow a prayer be held to cast away witchcraft.
