{UAH} A Friday conversation with an elderly friend!
Friend: Did u hear about the plan to sell UTL to a foreign company?
Me: No, I know nothing. Social media tax is bitting.
Friend: Aren't there Ugandans that can buy It? Or gov't buys It and sells shares to Ugandans? MTN et al, are already owned by foreigners, and all profits leave the country. How does that benefit the country?
Me: Why do u think the Govt doesn't think that way?
Friend: Simply because some big shot is benefiting from the deal......See how they are destroying mobile money business, something that benefits Ugandans if all levels, by introducing unnecessary taxes.
Me: how do u exactly want me to help, pal? You seem to be in pain over this?
Friend: Engage MPs on UAH. Not everyone is corrupt in that gov't. For example, that man, Elly Tumwine, isn't corrupt. He has been keeping the Nono gallery from thieves, for years. He is a clean man. The incorruptible ones will fight for Ugandans.
Conversation continued!
"In tribute to the United Kingdom and the Republic of Uganda, two bastions of strength in a world filled with strife, discrimination and terrorism."
