We currently have a vacancy for a Community Support Officer ( Refugees) working with a local authority in west London.

**** MUST BE AN ARABIC SPEAKER *****

Temp Contract till April 2019

It is essential that you have experience of providing housing advice to vulnerable groups. Advice with benefits, lettings , temporary accommodation would all be useful .


Job Purpose:

To provide high quality floating support to newly arrived refugee households in the borough. To assist these households to become settled into their new home and help them to build resilience and engage with local services so that they become embedded within their community. The role will involve working closely with the Housing Partnership, the Head of Housing Needs, and Citizens UK to develop and deliver support plans for each member of the household and ensure that any identified needs are action ed and referred to relevant specialist support agency. The post holder will also be required to meet and greet newly arrived households and ensure their safe transition into their new home.
