FIRMS SEEKS TO GROW MARIJUANA
An Israeli company has reportedly secured land in Uganda to cultivate a banned crop, marijuana, on a commercial scale. The firm is said to be a manufacturer and distributor of medical cannabis, New Vision reports today.
Why should they organise and regulate our peasant farmers in Wakiso or greater Mpigi, Rakai of greater Masaka, who are occasionally rounded up by police, so that they do it legally and are regulated since the market is guaranteed?
A Kilogram is at 200-300 in Ssembabule, as there is no price stabilization fund. But if they are allowed to grow Marijuana, which they used to grow for their animals, they will grow rich as the market is guaranteed.
