Minister Anite forced to resign her ministerial position over corruption

While Ugandans were busy focusing on excise amendment act 2018 which imposed taxes Social media and Mobile Money, news reaching information Uganda indicates that the State Minister for Investment and Privatization Evelyn Anite was last week reportedly forced to voluntarily resign.
She immediately handed over her office to the State Minister of Finance for Planning Hon. David Bahati.

Anite who doubled as Koboko Municipality Member of Parliament was reportedly told to resign or else face sacking.
This follows a series of alleged scandals involves in her docket under her watch the biggest being alleged Uganda Telecom (URL) bribe a claim she has vemently denied.

The appointing authority is sad to got all evidences pinning her including recordings on the same leaving her with no option but to resign.
Her early departure remains a secret and has been camouflaged as move for further studies abroad with aims of not angering her supporters especially the people of Westnile who are still angry with government following the brutal murder of Arua Municipality member of parliament Hon Ibrahim Abiriga who was gunned down on Friday 8t June near his home in Kawanda a Kampala suburb. His murder sparked demonstration in Arua town in Arua district of which Koboko district was curved of the same.
Anite was appointed minister by president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni shortly after presenting a resolution to NRM caucus in Kyankwanzi in 2016. He resolution endorsed president Museveni as the NRM sole candidate a move that was criticised by opponents within the NRM as a plot to lock out other potential candidates from vying for the highest office in the land under NRM party ticket.
