HUMAN RIGHTS SITUATION
Welcome back from Juma prayer. L prayed at MM mosque, Luwum Street.
Sorry for the deat of New Vision Senior Parliamentary Correspondent ,
Joyce Namutebi, who has been buried at Kakiri this afternoon.
Campaigns for bye elections for six new municipalities are going on.
In Bugiri it has gone violent, where FDC is said to be backing the NRM
candidate to ensure that JEEMA candidate Asumani Basalirwa is
defeated. In Shema, President Yoweri Museveni has joined the race.
Then there is also Arua municipality by election to fill a gap left by
the assassination of Col. Ibrahim Abiriga who was the MP, where old
wine in names of Kassiano Wadri and Nusura Tiperu are in new bottles.
So, with the will of God, on Dream TV, at 09.00 pm, l shall be joined
by Gitta from Foundation for Human Rights Initiative, to analyse the
human rights situation in the country in Akiikembuga Extra program.
