{UAH} Army raids rebel training base in Hoima, arrests 11
On Friday, Uganda People's Defence Force [UPDF] and police raided an alleged rebel training base in Hoima district and arrested eleven suspects.
The Albertine Region Police Spokesperson, Julius Allan Hakiza, says the suspects were found indulging in subversive activities aimed at overthrowing the government of President Museveni.
They were found training in a bush near Kaiso landing site in Tonya Parish, Buseruka Sub-county in Hoima District, Hakiza told journalists.
He said some of the suspects are from Democratic Republic of Congo and had spent three months conducting military drills.
No military equipment was found at the camp. The suspects are currently held at Hoima Central Police Station.
