There is a programme on BBC world service on racism. Ugandans are banned from hotels and restaurants. They are not allowed by Police to check in a hotel or enter a restaurant within 50 mile radius of the city. Many are sleeping on the streets. This ban applies to Nigerians as well, but it is being applied in blanket against black Africans. The police claim it is a measure to control crime and to get rid of illegal immigrants. About 10,000 to 15,000 Ugandans and up to 150,000 Africans are believed to be living in the city illegally after their visas have expired. Many engage in the drugs and sex trades.

How sad! How did how country come to this?
