{UAH} Letter to Bobi Wine!
Unlike Abbey Ssemuwemba this is my advice to Hon. Ssentamu Kyagulanyi
I hope you will get well soon Hon . Ssentamu Kyagulanyi
a. I have listened to your speeches – you have lots of pain that
directs what you say. For a start Hon. Ssentamu Kyagulanyi – read
Martin Luther King or just listen to him again and again. I really
hope that in his wisdom he will direct you on the path you have taken
b. You do not need to be extremely radical- since issues that drive
your political path are well laid out in the psychic of your voters
constitute; speak to the youth as well as the elders. Do not attack
persons but rather attack the system that marginalizes you voters.
Those should be the ideals of your political destination.
c. For the above reasons, quickly once you recover seek audience with
former Democratic Party leader Dr. Paul Kawanga Ssemwogerere and
former UPC former General Secretary Mr. Bbosa and UPC former President
Prof. Otunnu (discuss with them points d and international political
relations concerning African politics and their party weakness to
attain the political agenda. You critically need those people. In
politics 1. You have to balance ideologies (avoid extremism or
conformational politics (Newtonian Laws) and listen a lot 2. You have
to focus on issues that afflict your consistency (youth unemployment,
elderly welfare, free education for all, community housing, public
transport, freedom of expression, children and mothers welfare,
cleaner environment, economic inclusion for all, rights of the
citizens of Uganda and those non Ugandans within our boarders)
d. From the above you would set yourself a concrete ideology on three
levels; i. discursive – what is it you and others want (for your age
group and those outside it) ii. Power (MLK I have a Dream) of the
individual within their abilities (transformative) what they need for
themselves (content of their characters) if the state put the
required infrastructure before them iii. Normative and/or moral , this
touches on your use of language when addressing different age groups.
Kamwokya lingua (linguistic semantics) might not auger well with the
elderly, elite and the religious sects that are now with you in pain.
Be prepeared for all interiews.
e. If possible read about of the British Labour Party, The Swedish
Social Democratic party (they have a book about their history). You
would also like to understand the raise of extremism in Europe, USA
and indeed Uganda and South Africa. This is a must read to align your
thoughts and not to go overboard.
f. You might wish to hold political dialogue conference to move ahead
your foes and unintended events. Conferences bring out the unexpected
to secure the future.
g. Remember to emulate E.K. Musaazi as your role model for a while
even if you might not agree with him.
