Detectives on Monday arrested seven suspected conmen masquerading as Deputy President William Ruto's security.

The group, fleecing unsuspecting Kenyans was found with over 700 laptops at an apartment on Kyna Road, Westlands in Nairobi.

Three government vehicles assigned to the deputy president's office were also nabbed in the swoop.

According to police sources, the laptops are believed to have been stolen from the DP's office.
