Police hunt for ex-boyfriend, 21, after former girlfriend, 22, and her mother, 49, 'who came to Britain from Syria' are stabbed to death in quiet street

  • Emergency services called to street in Solihull, Birmingham in early hours
  • Two women were found with stab wounds and died at the scene, police say
  • Detectives are now hunting a suspect who is the younger woman's ex-boyfriend
  • Neighbours heard screaming before seeing a man jump into a van and drive off 

A suspected killer is being sought by police after the fatal stabbing of his ex-girlfriend and her mother in a suburban street.

Emergency services rushed to the scene in Solihull, Birmingham shortly after midnight last night and found Raneem Oudeh, 22, and her mother, Khaola Saleem, 49, dying from stab wounds.

Detectives are desperately hunting 21-year-old Janbaz Tarin, Ms Oudeh's ex-boyfriend, and have appealed for help from the public.

Officers are urging people not to approaching Tarin, but to call 999 as soon as they see him.
