Members.
On the occasion of the 15th anniversary, kindly find below narration recently published on the occasion of my late father's death in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on August 16th 2003. Due to incessant public demand, I decided to narrate in the local Ugandan media, the late Al-Hajji Idi Amin's last day in Saudi Arabia .
Kind regards
Hussein Lumumba Amin.

"After being with my father at the King Faisal military hospital intensive care unit for weeks, I started knowing the readings and purpose of the various modern digital equipment. So when I walked into the room that last day at around 10pm and looked at the readings, in my heart I knew this might be our last day with my father. So I told my brother's Muzamil, Issa and Abdul Nasser Amin who were standing with me around his hospital bed, to raise our hands in prayer. I remember my father looking quietly at all of us as we prayed for him. After that, I talked to him one last time and got a last briefing from the doctor on duty before I went back home. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling something was not right. I tried to call my brother Issa at the hospital but he was fast asleep. So I dressed up and immediately went back to the hospital. It was around 3 am. I found the doctors and the team of medical personnel trying everything they could. Later I thanked them for their great efforts. By afternoon I had consulted with family members around the world. I also consulted the Ugandan authorities, and the Saudi governmrnt. I then took the decision for the burial to take place in Saudi Arabia. Two giant Americans (ambulance personnel working at the military hospital) carried my late father's body to the vehicle which took us to the Cemetary Mosque. I sat in the ambulance next to my father as we went through the streets and the sirens of the Saudi police escort cleared the way. At the Ruwais Mosque, together with other well-wishers, we performed the Janaza, the Islamic prayer for the departed. I have never heard a more melodic voice than the one in the prayer that day. It felt as if an angel was reciting the prayer that echoed through the streets. From there, I and my brothers carried the casket upto the Cemetary itself followed by wellwishers. The Janaza prayer was simultaneously also performed at the Kaaba in Mecca, the Prophets Mosque in Medina, Saudi Arabia, and the Aqsa Mosque in Palestine. The three Holiest Mosques in Islam. I thank God Almighty for his protection, guidance and blessings to my father up to the very end. I also thank the Saudi people, their government and the Royal family for their firm stand with my father despite western bullying, and the unparalleled hospitality they accorded him.
August 16th 2018 is exactly 15 years since Al-Hajji Field Marshal President Idi Amin Dada passed away in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. On this 15th anniversary, I call on all African well-wishers to spare just one minute of prayer to God Almighty. A prayer for his soul to rest in heaven. A prayer for his beloved Uganda to unite as one nation. And a prayer for more peace, prosperity and development in this Africa that he struggled so much for during his presidency.
God Almighty created all mankind, and to him we will all return."
