Saudi health attaché to transfer all Saudi patients from Canadian hospitals

The Saudi Health Attaché in the US and Canada, Dr. Fahd bin Ibrahim Al Tamimi, said that the kingdom has stopped all treatment programs in Canada and is coordinating for the transfer of all Saudi patients from Canadian hospitals to other hospitals outside Canada.
Tamimi said in a press statement today that the mission seeks to ensure the safety of Saudi patients who receive treatment in Canada with their companions, and to complete their treatment elsewhere.
Earlier this week, Saudi Arabia expelled Canada's ambassador, recalled its own envoy and cut off trade ties with Ottawa.
Riyadh also suspended scholarships for Saudi students in Canada and plans to relocate them to other countries, while the state airline Saudia is suspending flights to Toronto.
