With the conclusion of Beijing 2018 Summit (Forum on China-Africa Cooperation-FOCAC) a Chinese entrepreneur in Kenya gave Uhuru Kenyatta and Kenyans a dose of his International begging carrier. Mr. Liu Jiaqi could not hide his view of Kenya and calling Uhuru Kenyatta a smelly monkey. This is exactly what China will do to the rest of Africans once we fail to service the loans. Africa indeed is a sinking giant whose appetite for debts will make them slaves in the near decades. With the rampant corruption in Kenya and misappropriation of funds, we are all doomed as China will be dancing on our graves right in the villages. It is very sad that Mr. Kenyatta secured deals worth over 100 billion shillings for roads and railway, much of these loans will end up in the hands of the untouchable individuals in the society as is the current situation. With the availability of natural resources in Africa, do we really need loans and hand-outs to sustain ourselves? The Beijing Belt and Initiative offers nothing of value to Africa as the projects are only geared towards strategic entry ports in securing easy access to the continents resources. These debt-trap will cripple Africa as the mode to repay will not be cash based.
