Some journalists from different media houses have been blocked from accessing Entebbe International Airport where the Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine is expected to touch down this afternoon.

Some of the journalists who were already at Entebbe Airport have been asked to present accreditation from Civil Aviation Authority and those without it have been chased away from the airport checkpoint.

This reporter has learnt that journalists from different media houses who were still travelling from Kampala to the Entebbe have been arrested and detained at Kisubi Police station.

Mr Siraje Kiberu of Kingdom TV has been arrested at Bwebajja and his equipment has been confiscated. NTV's Joel Ssenyonyi has also been arrested.

Others who have been arrested include Bobi Wine brother Nubian Li; former Makerere University guild president Roy Semboga; and a one Dan Magic. They have been arrested by SFC and whisked away to an unknown place.

"The army and police have arrested me and other four colleagues, on our way to Entebbe Airport and have decided to detain us at Entebbe Police Station," Nubian posted on his facebook timeline.

Unconfirmed reports indicate that radio Sapiensia news reporter Charles Katabalwa has been arrested and is now being detained at the Aviation Police Station Entebbe Airport. Democratic party Deputy Spokesman Alex Mufumbira and Eddy Yawe are also reported to have been arrested by the Police.

Meanwhile, some of the opposition politicians including the Kampala Lord Mayor Erias Lukwago, have been put under preventive arrest.

Bobi Wine is expected to touch the ground at Entebbe Airport at around 12:45 after spending almost three weeks in America where he had gone to seek specialised medical treatment following the alleged torture by SFC soldiers.
