{UAH} MY DISAPPOINTMENT WITH BOBBY WINE!!!
People;
I was gearing up to meet Bobby Wine in UK or London, but to my annoyance, he was not able to pass via the UK on his way to Uganda.
We in the diaspora matter and its where the real battle front lies. Its the thicket, where the Bazooka will be fired from. And this is a matter of fact that BWs PR and handlers should have known.
The actions of a few in the diaspora saw questions being raised in the mightiest parliaments on earth. From the House of Commons to the EU assembly. This is not mean feat to achieve and its important that Bobby Wine and his PR and hangers on acknowledge that. For the moment the diaspora turns their back on him, he will fritter away like Byesigye and Olara Otunnu. Years ago, when I stood on another forum, precisely the Acholi forum, and suggested that Olara Otunnu should not run or even head the defunct UPC party, people like Ocaya P'Ocure gnashed their teeth and called me a traitor. My words have come to pass!
So from my vantage point, I see the Bobby Wine's furore fizzling away simply because of poor PR and general lack of support from Buganda especially, from the older generations, whose eyes and mind are fixated on Mu7. This group poses a great danger and I am not calling for the young to cull the old for their selfishness but to educate them that their support for Mu7 is denying the young a better future. This is very important for without which, Buganda stands to lose due to generational division with the fault line running through Mengo and beyond. Its therefore imperative that the Buganda young, begin to educate their old through songs and dance, if the Buganda weight is to fall squarely behind BW!!
Never in modern history of Buganda has a man walked out of Buganda and galvanised the country like BW has done. So the Buganda support is paramount for his rise to the top!
So since BW was not been able to come to the UK and meet up with his supporters or those who want to see change, he clearly has missed an opportunity to send a symbolic message or petition from Uganda in the diaspora to Mu7. To assuage the effect of this blunder, my call, to his PR and hangers on, is to send him on a thanks giving tour round the country, starting from Arua and then to Gulu where he will get a symbolic rod for his future role. This is very important and should not be ignored if he wants to lead this struggle to fruition!
I hope to see him in the UK thereafter!
Fedby20/20 is achievable!
