AFRICA SHOULD HAVE ITS OWN POLITICAL CRIMES REPORT

The US was instrumental in starting League of Nations after the end of First World War. However it was the first to pull out and that contributed to the outbreak of Second World War.

In our times, US was instrumental in Rome Convention that resulted into setting up International Criminal Court to try was criminals. However, before it was concluded, it quit because it wanted to defend its war criminals in Iraq, Afghanistan etc....

Other war criminals in Palestine, Grenada, are also spared because Israel too and US are not signatories.

Yet, the Western powers want to use it to humiliate even serving African leaders like Filed Marshal Omar Hassan El Bashir. President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy William Ruto were humiliated although they were acquitted.

Since power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely, we should have a kind of ICC and Africa court of Human Rights based at Banjul, Gambia, or the UN Special Tribunal that tried genocide Rwanda suspects, in Arusha, Tanzania, may be made permanent.
