When have you ever seen other world leaders laughing at an American president when he is making a speech at the General Assembly of the UN?. I mean laughing in contempt as you would laugh at a nutter or a comedian, not laughing because the speaker has cracked a splendid joke? It just goes to show how the prestige of the American presidency has fallen. It is now rock bottom.

There was some muted laughter from the room.
"So true," President Donald J. Trump said. "I didn't expect that reaction, but that's OK," he said, prompting louder laughter.
