{UAH}
IT WAS ONCE BEN, THEN IBINGIRA, MBABAZI, AND NOW BOBI WINE.
J.F. Kennedy gave Ben Kiwanuka, 70 scholarships. This was after Ben had stormed out Lancaster Conference in protest against Buganda's special position.
But Ben lost 1962 elections to Obote under UPC Kabaka Yekka alliance.
Then US recruited Grace Ibingira who was given one million US dollars and he allied with Sir Edward Muteesa to fight Obote l from within UPC and the climax was 1966 where Muteesa was exiled and Ibingira detained without trial.
Then the British groomed Wanume Kibedi, who was Foreign Minister and brother in law to Idi Amin to be the civilian post Idi Amin president. He never was.
At the peak of 1979 Uganda-Tanzania war, the British imposed Prof. Yusuf Lule to Mwalimu Julius Nyerere as post Idi Amin president against Nyertere's personal friend, Idi AMin. Since the British had bank rolled the war under a cover of Kagera salient rehabilitation, Nyerere tolerated Lule for some time, but later with the support of the Americans, he removed him and brought in Godfrey Binaisa.
Then after the fall of Obote ll regime, CIA brought in the eloquent Olara Otunnu, whom they brought back even in 2011 , but things proved difficult to him.
In recent years , in 2012, following the Arab spring, Gen. David Sejusa roared like a lion on BBC and Voice of America and later Amama Mbabazi held an international press conference the whole;e of Saturday at his private office at Nakasero, and dominated BBC , Al Jazeera etc... He is politically no more.
Now the season is for Bobi Wine, we are watching with interest.
