{UAH} Bazukulu Resistance: Woman remanded for threatening to hit President Museveni with her genitals??
Friends,
A 21 year old girl has been in police custody for 2 months because of allegations of threatening to hit the president of Uganda with her genitals. The case, briefly is:
Prosecution contends that during the month of August in Kampala and Wakiso District, Namata
used a computer to record and transmit videos in which she made suggestions or proposals referring
to President Museveni as "buttocks", "feces" and threatened to use her private parts to hit his
teeth. The Prosecution says the suggestions are or proposals are obscene, lewd and indecent.
This kid was born around 1997 when President Museveni was already 11 years old in power; so what could have annoyed such a kid, born in the good era, who never had any contact with the bad regimes of Amin and Obote? Should the president really get annoyed over being referred to as a pair of buttocks or feces when he knows that he is none of those stuff? Or if somebody called me "posho" or "malua" "potato" or further still allege that I drink urine or eat feces, would I be right to get annoyed when I know none of those applies to me? I think we are failing to educate our young by treating them the way this 21 year old kid has been handled and I think she will be more determined to fight to the last atom.
Suppose the president had invited that kid to address her as grandpa since president Museveni refers to them as bazukulu, what would be the result? Does she really belong to where she is right now?
I am not a president which might explain my carefree attitude towards name calling, but I don't know if such a thing could really annoy me, first of all, how would she get close to my teeth to beat with her genitals, and even she ever came close, would she be brave enough to undress near an old man?
I honestly ask President Museveni to intervene, get this kid out of such humiliation, mistreatment and instead educate her as a grandpa would do to his grandchildren; and politely I beseech Mr. President to be slow in getting annoyed because a fountain of honor, children look up to you with admiration and respect especially when they see you as a forgiving and loving leader.
