After nearly seven years, Jennifer Musis is leaving KCCA. But why did she stay that long?
I believe that President Museveni appointed her to provide a counter force to the growing influence of City Mayor, Erias Lukwago.
But Lukwago has proved to be a tougher adversary than both Musisi and Museveni had anticipated. And with Betty Kamya now in the mix, as Minister for Kampala Affairs, and Bob Wine looming larger than all the three of them put together, Musisi likely has reached the logical conclusion that her stint at KCCA is futile.
Moreover, the spectacle of three high-profile members of one community fighting it out day in and day out is depressing.
